The more and more I do this blog, the more and more I learn about myself and our Lord and Savior. Like how Jesus overcame the world and gave us hope and peace. I think the verse that shows this is John 16:33, when Jesus tells the disciples:
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
For Jesus to let us know that he has overcome the world should provide us with a great source of strength. Even though we may have troubles and problems, with Jesus we will have peace. Just think Jesus is the one that kicked the locked door of death and the grave right off it's hinges to allow us eternal life, that commands our awe and respect. We can thrive with the knowledge that we have been given a gift of a victorious position. We have what it takes, because Christ gave it to us. He is the only one that could give it to us.
So do you lack any confidence today? Take heart in knowing that you and I can face whatever life throws at us, because of Christ's victory. Today ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to an empowered understanding of the gift that has been given through our Lord Jesus.
