Approaching God

Today I would like to talk about approaching God. I think that the thing that prevents us from a vibrant life with God is that we don't always know how to approach Him. In Psalm 100:3-4 it says;

Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise His name.

I think that sometimes that we approach God the wrong way. The Lord is NOT a vending machine with a selection of various satisfactions available with a push of a button. We as God's children need to have awe and respect that His divine presence commands. As we understand how great God is we can approach Him confidently, but more reverently. I hope that we may approach God with the level of respect He is due. Also with gratitude and the hearts that are devoted to doing God's will.

The questions I am asking today is, how do we enter God's presence? Do we possess the balance of awe and respect? I also challenge everyone to ask God to help guide us to better approach Him. I hope that everyone has a blessed day today and that we all make time to listen to God's lessons everyday.
